WINDPDL Système d'alerte météo en temps réel sur le littoral ligérien
The WindPdL project is a response to the lack of resources or accuracy of ocean observations in coastal areas, given the increase in extreme weather phenomena and the economic importance that represents for maritime activity in the Pays de la Loire region.
The aim of the WindPdL project is to create intelligent maritime service hubs that meet the needs of users in the blue economy (decarbonization, safety at sea, digitalization) , based on in-situ measurements collected and shared in real time from ships, ports and connected offshore infrastructures.
To reach its aim, a collaborative observation network comprising pleasure boats, workboats (pilot boats, tugs, passenger boats, etc.) sailing between South Brittany and La Rochelle, andalso at the entrance to the Loire (Cordemais, Donges)will be created by using our VOX device.
To complete this network, 4 ports on the Loire will be equipped with connected weather stations to ensure a continuum between land and sea on the acquisition of weather data. Example of possible ports on the coast: Saint-Nazaire/Pornichet, Noirmoutiers, Ile d'Yeu, Les Sables.
Finlay, the intelligent maritime service WindPdL will be available through the progressive web app of VOX’suite.
