The IDEEO project is overseen by EARSC (European Association of Remote Sensing Companies) and comprises a consortium of 3 partners located in Belgium, France and Italy.

Objective I

The objective of the project is to promote the use of European Earth observation systems at international level in the fields of marine sciences, agriculture, energy, etc.
This primarily involves analysing current international markets and policies to determine which sectors offer the best opportunities for European companies specialising in observation.
An internationalisation strategy will be implemented to promote the skills of the companies concerned and to lead to formulation of a road map.

Impact I

The creation of a new transnational consortium of European SMEs as part of the project will enable European Union countries to maintain and enhance their global position in the field of observation.  
IDEEO will also promote knowledge and technology transfer within trans-sector and transnational communities to stimulate cooperation and concerted technological improvements.

Cluster's role I

Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique will share its expertise to consolidate the research and development capacities of companies involved in the project in the fields of maritime security, aquaculture and renewable energy.
The cluster will contribute its experience and draw on its network of 350 members to ensure the internationalisation of the SMEs engaged in the project.  
It is responsible for WP4 (Propose an implementation roadmap), which will define the stages and actions required to put the internationalisation strategy into effect.
