IPM

The IPM project is aimed at large-scale production of high quality microalgae at a farm production site already equipped with facilities to capture CO2 and surplus heat and with glasshouses adapted for the activities of SCEA TAM. Created in March 2015, this company cultivates microalgae in order to develop their economic potential in the neutraceutical, pharmacological and agri-business sectors.

Scaling up is a major issue for industrial microalgae production in France today. The IPM project has therefore taken up the challenge to study and perfect a pilot production site designed to control and manage growing conditions, automate every stage of production and implement a quality assurance approach in line with food industry norms. The site has just successfully secured Ecocert certification for the production of microalgae in fresh or brackish water.
